This page explains the cookies and browser storage NeedETA uses, why we use them, and how you can control or withdraw your consent at any time.

Consent first

When you first visit NeedETA, a consent banner (powered by our cookie-consent.js script) asks whether you accept analytics storage. We use Google Consent Mode v2, which means analytics and advertising storage signals are set to denied by default until you actively accept. No analytics cookies are set until you give consent.

Analytics tools we use

• Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-073W4EZFJ9) — measures aggregate, anonymous usage such as which pages are visited and which countries travelers check. It runs under Consent Mode v2 and only stores analytics cookies after you accept.
• Microsoft Clarity — helps us understand how visitors interact with the page layout so we can improve usability. It is loaded subject to your consent choice.

Essential storage

We keep two small preference keys in your browser's local storage. These are essential to remember your own choices and are not used for tracking:

• needeta_cookie_consent_v1 — records your consent decision so we do not show the banner again on every visit.
• needeta_lang — remembers your selected language so the site loads in your preferred language next time.

How to withdraw consent

You can change your mind at any time. To withdraw analytics consent, clear the stored consent preference (delete the needeta_cookie_consent_v1 key) so the banner appears again and you can decline, or clear NeedETA's cookies and site data through your browser settings. You can also block or delete cookies entirely in your browser's privacy controls. Withdrawing consent stops further analytics storage; essential language and consent preferences remain only to honor your choices.
