We believe in being completely transparent about money. Here is exactly what costs nothing, and what does.

What NeedETA provides for free

Our visa, ETA, eVisa, and ETIAS eligibility checker is free to use, with no account and no payment. The same goes for our suite of travel calculators — the Schengen 90/180 tracker, passport-validity checker, overstay-risk calculator, travel-advisory aggregator, and more. You can use them as often as you like at no cost.

Independent partner services

Sometimes a traveler wants someone to actually prepare, check, or file their paperwork. For that, we may link to independent partner services — for example, ClearForTravel for personalised visa briefs, or Malaysia Travel Card for completing and filing the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card. These are separate companies, not NeedETA. They charge their own service fee in exchange for doing that work for you, and that fee is on top of any government fee.

Government fees

When a destination charges an official visa, ETA, eVisa, or ETIAS fee, that money goes to the government, not to NeedETA or any partner. You can always apply directly with the government yourself and pay only the official fee — that is the lowest-cost route every time.

Compare before you pay

A paid partner service can save you time and reduce the chance of mistakes, but it is optional. Before you buy, compare the convenience against simply applying through the official channel yourself. Choose whatever fits your budget and comfort level.
